Osteopathy is about much more than bad backs. Whilst it is true that backs are the source of most complaints, we also successfully treat a variety of conditions from neck pain and headaches to sprained ankles, abdominal pain and pregnancy related pains.
As importantly, osteopaths advise on changes in daily posture, exercise and general activity that will support a more healthy and enjoyable life. This ‘maintenance’ aspect is often overlooked by health practitioners; sometimes leading to unnecessary recurrence or the development of a new, but related problem.
We use a variety of techniques which may include spinal and peripheral joint manipulation, soft tissue techniques such as massage, trigger point therapy and cranial osteopathy.
